From the A38 Exeter - Plymouth Road
Take the turning off the A38 signposted
for Dartmouth & Buckfastleigh. At the
junction, turn left onto the A384
passing The Dartbridge Inn. There will
be a brown tourist sign indicating
Woodland Leisure Park, which you can
follow for most of your route.
Follow the A384 to Totnes for about 7
miles, going through Dartington. On
reaching the first set of traffic lights
in Totnes, you will need to turn right,
signposted to Dartmouth & Kingsbridge.
Continue over another set of traffic
lights and up a fairly steep hill. You
are now on the A381 to Kingsbridge. Pass
through the village of Harbertonford and
about 2 miles on, you will arrive at the
village of Halwell. Go through this
village and in about half a mile, you
will see a BP petrol station on your
left. Turn left onto the B3122
immediately after the garage, signposted
to Dartmouth.
Follow the B3122 and in about 2 miles.
You will pass the Forces Tavern on the
left and shortly after, Woodlands
Leisure Park on the right. Continue on,
passing the Dartmouth Golf and Country
Club on your left and you will then see
a turning on the right, signposted for
STRETE. Turn right here and drive for
about 3 miles along a single lane road
with passing places until you arrive in
the village of Strete. Continue through
the village to a T-Junction with the
Post Office and Stores in front of you.
Turn left and drive approximately 100
yards passing a field on your right.
Skerries in on the right. It is a cream
painted house with blue gates.
Directions From Dartmouth to Strete
Take the A379 to Stoke Fleming, which is
a left turning at the top of Britannia
Hill going out of Dartmouth, well
signposted. Continue along this road to
Stoke Fleming which is a bout 4 miles.
Go through the village and then down to
Blackpool Sands. About a mile further
on, you will arrive at the village of
Strete. Go about 200 yards down a dip in
the road and you will see the road
widens. Skerries is at the top of the
incline on the left - painted cream with
blue gates and sign.
